I wanted this to be an app in which the user could easily access and watch all of their favorite movies and shows from various streaming services; as a Roku device would work on a TV. Bearing this in mind, I set out to create a landing screen in which the user could continue watching their most recent shows/movies as well as view recommendations, a global search function, a discovery function, and finally the selected media details screen.
